E40 Day 2 Report – The Heart of Texas

24’ Jocelyn Tate | AAR 17U E40

5’10” / SF | – Long, athletic, versatile player with skills. Defensively she can guard multiple positions and plays with active hands and feet – uses her length to get deflections, blocks, and steals. She is very active attacking the basket and finishes at a high level – soft touch and keeps her eyes on the rim. Made a huge impact on the game and made it look easy. 

2025 Seleh Harmon | Team Griffin 17U Owens E40

5’9” / CG | – Multifaceted player with so many abilities – skilled player. First thing is her shooting ability – smooth stroke from deep range. She is pretty crafty with the ball in her hands, able to control the pace when pressure comes. Slashes and attacks the open gaps and will finish at the rim. Plays with passion and effort, will work and produce on the defensive end. 

25’ Jazzlin Brown | OK Swift 17U Mathurin E40

6’0” / SF | – Athletic player with raw talent and speed. She plays strong around the rim and works hard on the defensive end. Guards multiple positions and brings good effort to match her athleticism, which makes her a valuable asset on the defensive end. Displays her speed when pushing the ball after a rebound, and has the ability to go coast to coast.

2025 Markia Pratt | OK Swarm 16U Elite Allyson E40

5’8” / CG | – Athletic guard that is controlled, displays her athletic ability when attacking and getting vertical when finishing. Plays aggressive but can maneuver and finesse when needed. Smooth 3-point jumper when set off the catch, and can pull up in the midrange. Good footwork when finishing in the paint and around the basket. Knows how to get to the basket and draw the foul. Uses her handles, athleticism, and basketball IQ to get out of trouble and make the right play. Shifty player – plays with confidence. 

27’ Pfeiffer Greene | THS 16U 2025 E40

5’11” / CG | – Long, athletic guard. Plays big but has good ball control off the dribble. Attacking off the dribble when the gaps open are her bread and butter, and she is able to disengage and separate when the lanes close. She plays well and plays through contact. She sparked the game immediately with her shooting ability. She has a fluid stroke, good elevation and rotation on the ball – holds her follow through. Plays with confidence and comes off screens ready to pull the trigger and she showed she can hit those deep shots. 

25’ Kate Wiginton | OK Swift 16U Mathurin E40

5’6” / SG | – High IQ player that is underrated. She is skilled, coachable and tough as nails. She handles the ball well when she needs to, she is a natural off-guard. Her hands and feet stay ready to shoot, and it’s a good looking shot. She plays under control and stays within her game. Defensively she plays hard and makes it tough when pressuring the ball. There is more to the eye with Kate, she competes to win. 

25’ Preslee Hartsock | Team Griffin Elite 16U E40

5’7” / PG | Floor general that sets the tone for the team and gets people involved. She was clutch in a comeback win vs THS – hit a few timely 3-pointers down the stretch and got to the basket. When fouled, she made her free-throws and continued chipping away. Good on-ball defender – plays with a lot of energy. 

25’ Traniyah Weston | AAR 16U Allen E40

5’4” / PG | A facilitating lead guard that has a special ability to put the ball in her teams hands – on-time and on-target. She drives to the basket with purpose, looking to draw multiple defenders. She has a smooth jumper from deep range – stepping into her shot  with rhythm and confidence. 

26’ Tyra Mckinne | Team Griffin Elite 16U E40

5’10” / F | An undersized forward that plays big! Her effort and energy is unmatched because she competes to win. She is the first to attack the glass for rebounds and is the quickest to leave her feet to grab the ball. She capitalized on numerous second chance opportunities early in the game vs THS. Sets really good screens and facilitates to teammates. 

2024 Hannah Coons | OK Swift Mathurin 2024 E40

6’1” / SF | – Long Forward that plays with a lot of energy and effort. She can bang down low and finesse in the mid range. Good size – stays locked in when on the floor. Has the ability to stretch the floor and shoot the outside 3-point if the shot is available.
